 Dear World Travelers,
Join us for an in depth look at the people, culture and natural wonders of Bhutan the Kingdom of the Thunder Dragon. We start in West Bengal, India. You must see Calcutta (Kolkata)! We’ve also included Darjeeling and Kalimpong. Kalimpong was a part of Bhutan until 1815. It is a very pleasant hill station with monasteries of the Bhutanese style and is a great introduction to the country.
We planned our exciting program around two of the most prominent festivals in the country. First we’ll attend WANGDI TSECHU which is a great religious and cultural festival. During this great event families gather from afar, all dressed in their finest, to partake in two days of dancing, celebration and feasting.
With careful planning we have been able to also include the large THIMPHU TSECHU festival which is in the Capital of Bhutan.
Join Ron and our select group as we share in this happiness for a few precious days. Who knows, perhaps on our return we’ll help to increase the gross national happiness at home!
