Dear World Traveler,
By this time, we had expected to send you the brochure on our tour to Korea with Ron focusing on the arts and crafts of Korea highlighted by the Cheongju International Crafts Biennale scheduled for October 2009.
Given the economic conditions of our entire country, the bad news received on our savings accounts’ balances each month (for most of us), and the shortness of time remaining, we have decided to postpone our trip to October 2011. It seems like a long ways off, but really it isn’t.
You’ll find updates from time to time on our website www.SeriousTraveler.com/Korea.html.
We had considered offering a bare-bones kind of package which would include airfare, lower-priced hotels and do-it-yourself transportation. We’re sure traveling as a group you would not be satisfied with this arrangement. These trips are once-in-a-lifetime journeys, and we want everything to be in place for a memorable experience. For 2011, besides the Biennale, we plan to visit, the Leeum Museum of Art, Korean Folk Village, Insadong, Doksuging Palace, Namdaemun Market, Dongdaemun Market, and the Heyri Art Valley. Unless the schedule changes, we plan to use Korean Air non-stop from Seattle to Seoul, but of course we’ll work with you for other departure cities.
Please hold the dates, keep in touch and have a wonderful summer.
